  1. That’s a very good post, I liked it very much because Gandhi is one of my myths and these phrases are very representative of him. He said that revenge is no good at all in our world, he was right but someone in our planet, even nowadays doesn’t agree with him. All the system is based on cruelty and selfishness where everybody think only about their own. It’s a bad truth but it’s also the sad reality… Everybody wants the power and they could kill for it but not the Mahatma, he couldn’t find a cause to kill someone, violence generates violence, death generates death, peace generates peace and so on… He was an example for everyone for his contemporary and his posterity, his teachings now are history. His non-violent resistance to the English power was extraordinary. Nobody could protest like him!

  2. This post is very interesting because it reminds me a person who changed the conception of peace and war: he’s Mahatma Ghandi. He thought that war is useless because it causes only death and destruction
The famous sentences are very important to understand what kind of conception about war Ghandi had. I think these sentences should be used in our society, because it could build a better world. I think war is a whim of the man who wants to overcome all the others even if costs a lot of shed blood. So, in this way Gandhi said no to war to promote peace between people.

  3. this post interests me very much bacause i think that gandhi was a myths...he told about the non-violence.
''there are many causes that i'm prepared to die fo but no causers that i'm prepared to kill for''
he couldn't find a cause to kill someone...he doesnt want to find it.
violence generates violence...for that reason he prefers to die instead of killing.

  4. Mahatma Ganghi and Nehru have been very important men, they have changed the world with their concepts and they have done allthings were possible for them to help the people: the homeless, the women, the poor people. Under Nehru, the Indian parliament have improved the government service, the educational institutions and so on. But Gandhi was the first to apply in the political field the principle of non-violence. Gandhi said:
"When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall — think of it, always."
"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."
"There are many causes that I am prepared to die for but no causes that I am prepared to kill for."
I think that his teaching must be learnt by all the world especially by the politician and the governor because the wars have usually caused by their decisions. There isn’t love with the war, there aren’t dream with the war, there isn’t peace with the war and, there isn’t life with war. The people of a nation cannot hate the people of another nation because we are sons of the same God, we must live in the same world there is no choice so we have to love, we have to understand, we have to help our neighbor. Is better to die for the salvation of many people than to kill for the our purposes.

Thanks to is sacrifice and thanks to his ideal of nonviolence he became the spiritual guide of his people, now is know whit the nickname Matham (Great Soul).
I think that is difficult to define him whit a word, little are as him, heroes.

  7. "Important spiritual leader for his country. Thanks to him, India obtained independence. He was also a great advocate of non-violence. Through its actions Gandhi has inspired many movements for civil rights and major figures such as Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela. On 2 October there is the International Day for Non-violence."

  8. Gandhi is a very important man for me because I never know a stronger man than he is. Mahatma lead India to the indipendence...many men got indipendence using violence, but Gandhi used the non-violence idea and for this I estimate him a good person. I think violence isn't a good way because you can't get peace in the world. With violence everyday there are many dead people. Everyday people wake up crying. I hate it because I'm a lucky person because I have a family and many friends, while there are people who don't have anything. I hope to people can realize peace fighting against violence.

  9. I know that the world esteems gandhi but me I adore him because in my life I always make reference to one history of his that said this way:" a teacher asked to his pupils because the people when they quarrel they howl and he responded theirs that their hearts he gets further and they shouts for making themselves feel. But what I adore a lot is the end when the teacher says this < When you will discuss, not you leave that your hearts get further, you don't say words that they can outdistance more, because will arrive one day when the distance will be as that they won't meet anymore the road to return > "

  11. Gandhi: a person so small but with a big heart. For he was easier to die than to kill a human being. Kill a man will only bring more hatred will bring new killing. Although this idea, didn't give up to continue his battle for indian indipendence, but using a new battle, the non-violence, which has made him a legend and a model to imitate.
