The film “The Lady” is about the life of Aung San Suu Kye. She is a woman who was born in Burma. She fought for the political problems of Burma. Her father was a leader. She married a man who lived in Oxford and she lived there with her family. In the beginning she lived in Burma with her parents. When her father was killed by soldiers, she was just 2. One day, she went to Oxford because she wanted to start a new life. After that her mother had an heart attack and she returned to Burma. She stayed there to continue to fight for her father’s ideals and she left her family in Oxford. So, she presented herself to become the leader of the National League for Democracy (NLD) in Burma, she fought for the freedom of her country, she has received the Nobel Prize for Peace and she has lived under house arrest for 15 years. She is very brave, she has a strong personality and fighting spirit. Becoming the leader of Burma like her father, she fought for not-violence. One day it happened her husband had a cancer and she was in front of decision: to return to Oxford, to her family or to stay in Burma to continue her fight.
