Henry Dunant
Henry Dunant was a Swiss humanist and a philanthropist entrepreneur. He was born on May 8, 1828 into a wealthy home and he died on June 12, 1912 in a hospice. He received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1901 (the first year it was awarded this recognition) for founding the Red Cross. Dunant poured his money and time into the cause, traveled over most of Europe obtaining promises from governments to sent representatives. Today the Red Cross is the greatest humanitarian organization of the world.. He devoted himself to the issue of the abolition of slavery.

Henry Dunant is the first man to have won the Nobel Prize because he founded the Red Cross. This organization is very important because it is an association that helps many people in need. I think he has deservedly won the Nobel prize for peace because if today many people have improved their condition owes to Henry Dunant. Dunant was a very generous because he poured his money to do good in the world without obtaining any money.
