W.Turner

"Snow storm" is nowdays considered one of Turner's masterpieces. It shows a steam-boat at the heart of the vortex. We can observe the battle between the forces of nature and the wonder of technology. Turner in this painting uses dark colors like the black, the brown and the grey, in a whirling way to create in the observer a sense of confusion and fear. In my opinion that sense of confusion and fear is very similar to that one hypothetical people feel in this steam-boat. Giulia Mezzatesta VH

  1. I chose this article because this artist took me emotionally so much.
Despite the fact that his paintings were made with apparently undefined strokes, he manages
to convey a lot of emotions to you.
For example, this particular painting, which seems to depict a boat in the middle of a stormy sea, gives me a lot of strength and determination.
