Covid-19 is an invisible virus that is destroying thousands of families. We can fight it by staying at home. Me and my family have been in quarantine for over two weeks. The days pass very slowly, and I can't wait to go out with my friends, to see my parents again, especially my grandmother who celebrated her birthday at home alone. The days are boring, my pastimes are studying and playing with my brothers. Luckily I have a family to spend time with, but I think of all those people who live in quarantine alone, or all those people who don't work, don't have the money to eat. I hope all of this will end, the only thing I can say is, let's stay home and everything will be fine.

  2. I think this article expresses perfectly the seriousness of the Italian situation, which we are living at the moment. The Covid-19 is ruining adult’s lifes as well as children’s one and it must be stopped as soon as possible. Actually the only thing we can do to contribute for the solution of this situation is to stay at home and follow the ministerial directives. I hope that everything will be fine very soon as we could meet each other and appreciate every moment together like never before.

  3. I really enjoyed reading this article, because it makes us enter the innocent minds of children in these difficult moments, through their drawings and their beautiful theories on how to defeat the coronavirus, and it makes us open our eyes to how important it is to stay at home, so as not to increase the number of infected and dead.

    1. This article is very emotional because it reflects the reality of this period, seen by the sensitive innocence of childen.
They teach us the most important thing and the only thing we have to do to fight as soon as possible this orrible monster (this "Goliath" as little Francesco says): to stay at home with our own family.

  6. I think that coronavirus isn't longer a distant virus that was starting to manifest itself in people in Wuhan. Now it is a serious problem that will continue to affect us Italians. The numbers of the dead and the infected are frightening but we must not break down to stay united and at home it is essential. Many children like Andrea and Michele have not seen their parents and relatives for a long time, they talk to them by letter, and they hope that one day all of this will end. To conclude I wanted to say that it is very important to read the news from secure sites like this of Lorenzo Tondo because there are many people who try to spread only fear.

  7. I liked this article and it moved me very much because for the first time I was able to read innocent and naive thoughts (in a good sense) of Italian children who see this situation from a different point of view from ours.
Reading this article I realized that the virus doesn’t only attack adults, but also children because many children have lost their grandparents, uncles, etc.
To stop all this you have to have common sense and stay at home to all smile and return to our normal lives (of which we complained but with this all Italians understood the true importance of what you have)

  8. I think it's really moving to read something related to the children’s point of view about corona virus. These children, with their innocence and naivety, have been able to explain the seriousness of the situation, as well as possible: everyone should read their stories in order to become aware of this problem and to respect more the decrees.
As Francesco said, the only weapon we have, against Corona virus, is the humanity: still many people, thinking that the disease affects only the elderly, don't respect the laws. Even if it isn't true, in any case we must remain in quarantine, respecting other people and showing our "humanity". Without doing this, we can't beat this Monster!
But I have faith and I believe in humanity, so when " the biggest Corona virus will be splashed with the magic potion, and defeated" ,as Michele said, we'll return stronger and more united then before.
In fact, if there’s something we’re learning, it’s the importance of things that we usually consider normal like hugs, handshakes, dating friends, and even going to school.

  9. It is really emotional reading the children’s testimonials because we realize that despite the seriousness of the situation there is always hope in everyone's heart and mostly in that of the children, who with their imagination and creativity make this horrible nightmare better.
I think that we understood that the most important things are health and love of the family but I think also everyone should do their part to put an end to all this and return to our beautiful normal life.

  10. To begin I think that coronavirus is very dangerous and scary; a lot of people (expecially in the cities of northern Italy) have died and every day are recorded new dead and new infected.
I think that the Italian people to win this battle versus the virus have to respect the safety measures.
This article having been written by little children , help us to admire the real important things of the life , for example the love of family. I'm positive and I think that with our competent doctors and with the solidarity of the italian people we will win this battle and finally return to everyday life.

  11. I have read the article and I agree with it. I think that children are more stronger than adults.
I love the ideas of these children and like they encourage adults to fight this nasty virus.
Today the covid-19 is a very serious topic and it has to be underestimated, because it kills a lot of people everyday.
I hope it will pass quickly, and that these children will not to worry about anything or at least of this virus.

  12. I think that this article is very useful because in this bad situation we have to be informed to know the right way according to which we must behave.

Even children understand that we are in a very delicate situation and that we must be careful because many of our wrong actions can have bad consequences.

I'm tackling this situation by staying at home and following the ministerial regulations so that I can make my contribution not to spread this disease.

But in spite of everything we must go on hoping that one day, with everyone's collaboration, the situation will improve to return to everyday life.

I found this article very different from others that we can find online... It isn't the conventional Covid-19 news page, it doesn't talk about the rising number of infects nor the situation of the hospital all around the country. It talks about normal families experiences, by the eyes of children. Some of them are just bored, some have contracted the virus and they are fighting it, others cannot see their parent because they'are at the hospital (I've heard that it is a diffused problem in northern Italy).
Reading the article you'll maybe smile a bit thinking about children's fanciful ideas on how to defeat the virus, but surely you'll also notice one important thing: even the children have understood that our only weapon against this invisible enemy is the collaboration.
We all have to respect Government ordinances and with the invaluable work of doctors, nurses, police officers and workers that are trying to keep everything functioning, we'll get through this.

  14. This article is very emotional, because it shows us through the children’s eyes the
dramatic situation that all the italian families are living in this moment.
The children with their genuineness understood the gravity of this situation and they
with their imagination try to kill this monster, the “Covid-19”. For example Michele
amazed me for his imagination. He sees the virus like a small invisible creature that
can be killed with a magical potion and, if this plan doesn’t work, he also has an plan
    B.
So I think that we should try to kill the virus as Michele said and our magic potion is
to commit to the rules that the government gave, only in this way we can help in the
    battle against this virus.

  16. It's always good to read the chlidren's point of view, I think it's tiring to hear the same bad news, luckily we have the children, with their imagination and hope. They don't understand situation very well and maybe a good part of them won't remember this period when they will grow up, so their opinion about it appears simple and authentic. I really liked Francesco's drawing, he described the today's sitation with an intelligent metaphor of David and Goliath: the Covid-19 is Goliath and David is him (or all of us with an adult's pov). Goliath, despite his large size will be beaten by the little David, but in this story there is no slingshot, infact David's weapon is humanity. We can beat this giant with good action and common sense, taking care of ourself and who is around us. #StayAtHome

  17. I think Covid-19 took many things away, but the thing we miss most is the family. Many children can't see their father or mother, not only because their parents are affected of the virus, but also because the parents have to work although there is the emergency and so they could get affected, so the children have to stay with grandparents (I know well this situation because my cousin is in this condition). So I think a drawing is the only way for a children to communicate with their family and I think that sometimes a drawing could convey more emotions than anything else

  18. The article is very interesting. This virus is highly contagious and it is also causing a lot of pain and solitude especially in the elderly and children of the world.
I’m sorry for all those people who have the virus and for those who have sick family members.
This is a sad period, but we have to think positively and that all of this will end soon.

  19. See this drawing is so moving, mostly see that children talk about the humanity, that in this situation is the thing which firstly we have to remember. Covid-19 is a virus which seems to have turned off the whole world, changing our habits and stopping millions of lives. We don't know when this virus will stop, but we have to believe that this will happen soon.
We have to keep safe our self, stay strong and have respect for all the people who everyday keep on fighting for people health.
Specially we have to take example from children, who truly believe that we can do it and this design is proof of this.

  20. This article has made me think a lot about the difficult situation we are facing these days. The children's point of view is so emotional.
We are all forced to be alone because of this virus that seems to never stop. The number of death is so distressing and painful.
But we must be positive because we will also get out of this painful period.
    We have to resist.
Let's wait for the day where we can finally enjoy nature and finally get together to have fun and joke.

  21. Reading this article made me surprised and amazed: it is really wonderful showing how positive children are.

Although all of us are victims of this period children are the only one that always follow rules, that are good at finding the way to go away from virus through drawing, dancing or just saying “everything will be fine”.

It’s great to see how strong children are although they are positive for the corona virus or they have lost grandparents or other relatives. So we have to thank Lorenzo Tondo to showing us the children’s drawings because their strength is a way to give us a reason to be positive, to think about people who have lost relatives (in particular about children who have lost their parents and the can’t go at their relatives’ home) or friends but despite this they have found the way to feel good. It could give us some advices to live better this situation and the belief that if we stay at home we will win against the virus.

    Don’t lose hope and faith!

Think about those kids and try to have the same good behave or the same desire to find a potion for the Covid-19.

In my opinion, this article can give the reader the possibility to look to the future of our country, but also of the rest of the world, in a positive way. The drawings made by the children, like the rainbows that they hang on the balconies, let people be more supportive, and this is moving, because I have never seen the Italians so united against the same enemy before.
I think these acts are giving great help to everyone because they give hope and let us reflect on the importance of health and family, two aspects of life that come before all the rest.
In my opinion, the best help, at the moment, is being given by the doctors and all the people who accept to stay at home, because only by making sacrifices now, we will be able to defeat the virus tomorrow.

This article is a perfect drawing of the actual situation in Italy , where the coronavirus is damaging significantly our society.Although it’s very difficult to be positive right now we can still take children as example , who are pristine and innocent. The drawings this kids made are an example of how their fantasy can deal with corona virus problems, staying positive , in fact this virus is like a monster which can be beated with our humanity, if we stay at home and let the true heroes (doctors , nurses and all people who are trying to solve this problems) do their job without worrying about people going out with no reasons.

This article is very interesting and touching.
In my opinion this situation is hard to face, to live and to elaborate, in particular for children. But in this text many children show their power and this is to be admired.
I have been in quarantine for three weeks. Today is the 21st day. I’ve changed my routine, like my all friends. It’s difficult for us, but the positive side is that in our family we are all healthy and doing well. Despite the distance I believe that we are lucky because thanks to technology we can text and video call each other all day long at any time. I miss my friends and same applies to them but we understand that this virus is really dangerous so we do everything it takes to stay home and be safe. #westayathome.

I’ve changed my routine, like my all friends, but the good thing Is that i can spend a lot of time with my family .I miss going out and i also miss my friends buy if we want the situation resolved we have ti stay at home and be safe

I think that this crisis provoked by the corona-virus has hit in particular the life of children because children much more than adults need to live with other people (especially other children) and to go out of their houses and play freely in open air. Also they do not understand the danger of the virus, so it is essential for them to elaborate this problem through their own natural language: the artistic drawings and their own imagination and fantasy to overcome this period.

  27. i think this is important because we have to think outside the box. If we think too much about the virus we can't enjoy what we have in our home, like our families, our parents ecc...
We have to appreciate the childrens's drawings because they can forget about the situation we are living and they can make us feel better.

I really enjoyed reading this article because this article is very emotional and it make us enter the innocent mind of children in these difficult moments.
I really like the draw of Francesco Giuffrida, he draw David against Goliath. David represent the humanity and Goliath the coronavirus. David says: “you won’t be able to infect the world as long as there’s humanity!”; I enjoy the double-meaning of the word “humanity”, in fact the word humanity means: “human beings collectively” and “the quality of being human”. This draw teach us the only thing we have to do to fight this monster: to stay at home with our family.
