Il colore della libertà

Nelson Mandela was a South African politician and Nobel Peace Prize in 1993.
He was the leader of the struggle against apartheid, a policy which aimed to
undermine the rights of citizens of South African blacks and today is considered a hero fighting for freedom. In 1961he was the guide and coordinated a campaign against the army to put an end to political action which went against. He raised money and organized military training but in 1962 he was arrested. The charge included the involvement in the organization of armed action and research to involve other countries against South Africa. In February 1985 he gave up even though he did not want to abandon his fight against the apartheid and said :"What freedom am I being offered while the organisation of the people remains banned? Only free men can negotiate. A prisoner cannot enter into contracts.". After his release on 2 February 1990, he won the Nobel Prize for Peace, was elected President of South Africa and at the end of his office continued the action of supporting the human rights.

  1. In the world there is a person who makes the difference. A person who tries to help other person only for solidarity. Mandela fought for the civil rights of his people and he is considered to be, rightly, a legend.

  2. Nelson Mandela was a great man. I'm so sorry that tough he fought for the people and for the peace, actually nothing is changed. When the people will understand that we are the same and no different for the religions, for the color skins and for our culture..... Well.. SURE I WONT BE THERE... We have to change.. we have to put in our minds that we are the world, without any limits and without prejudices.

  4. In my opinion, Nelson Mandela was one of the few men who managed to rise up alone in a world full of prejudices. It 'great to see how he went on with his rebellion against hundreds of racist slaveholders... Apartheid was a terrible and odious scourge of our times. I think in the world there are fewer and fewer people that fight so hard for their ideals.

The name Nelson Mandela was attributed him by the missionaries of the elementary school and that its true name is Rolihlahla Dalibhunga.. many years of his life he has passed in the jail but with great happiness in 1993 he received the prize nobel that did of him a very important man that fights for his people.

  11. Mandela is one of the best persons the world refused to acclaim, before it did, like Gandhi or Martin Luther King. No way, there are a lot of great people, but we aren't able to recognize them, 'cause we don't care about ideas, only about figure.

  13. Nelson Mandela was a great man that fights against the wicked people who won't to attack the human right and discriminate the people for their religion,colour of skin and other things that can differentiate a person from another person.I think(and maybe it's true)that Nelson M. was the best president and politician of the South Africa.Although he was arrested ,he continued his battle becauase he won't a better word where the white people live in peace with black people;
    he didn't stop his fight, he was ready to die for the things and ideals in that he belives.
    So he became the symbol of the freedom(freedom of speech ,freedom of writing,...)and he was so appreciated to recive the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993.

  15. In my opinion and for all man(i think),nelson mandela was a grat men that fought to create a better world where the color of the skin or the different opinion or the different religion are a worth, a normal reality that helps the men to improve themselves, not a inducement to create discrimination and wars...but the figure of mandela must be the beginning of a human improvement ,a human growth , not a isolated event... we must improved if we want a better world

Nelson Mandela is certainly one of most important political icons of the last decades, he wasn't only a politician but also a leader, the voice and the necessity of all people, not only of the South Africa. He fought for the freedom,he was stopped but he never gave up his idea and things went better.A great man for humanity. People have to thank this man.
